BREAK-IN

Installation
Humanity generates a huge information flow, essentially an independent
entity with a similarity in thinking and internal laws of development.
The BREAK-IN multimedia installation was created to study information chaos. The authors invite viewers to explore this ghostly entity with sound. Examine the analog and digital devices that make up the installation and look for intersections of various chronological and geographical layers in the devices and user messages.
Put on headphones and listen to the audio stream. It consists of various fragments: some recordings are generated by a neural network, and others are cut from radio conversations and field recordings. The synthesis of analog and digital technologies translates audio messages into visual form. They appear on oscilloscope screens as images snatched from a formless information flow.
*An oscilloscope is a device that visualizes electrical signals. The installation involves three such devices. The computer transmits an audio file to one randomly selected oscilloscope and sends abstract noise signals to the other two. When the file is played to the end, the computer selects the next recording and repeats the cycle. Take a closer look at the oscilloscope screens. Which one is visualizing the audio signal you hear right now?
