ONISM MACHINA

SYMETRIA, 2023
Interactive wearable device
This work explores the symbiotic communication between machines and people, including the ethical, social, and philosophical aspects of interaction between humans and artificial intelligence on an emotional level.
The ONISM MACHINA interactive wearable device is under development. It’s currently able to see others using computer vision, interpret their emotions, and respond to them with a synthesized voice.
Let your visual organ take a better look at you. The response may take 30 seconds.
In the future, ONISM MACHINA will be able to read biological parameters that reflect the user’s emotional state. The device does not repeat any known form deliberately. In this way, the artist emphasizes the uniqueness of artificial intelligence as an entity.
The author thanks Annushka Petrovich for technical development and Timur Okhinko (metya) for help with machine learning.
