Wonderland

People are immersed in virtual reality every day thanks to the Internet of Things. The «virtual self» is most often understood as an array of abstract data published on the Internet or the sensations from interacting with VR gadgets. But what does each of us actually look like in the virtual space?

This work is an imitation mirror via a screen with motion capture sensors. This symbolic portal through the looking glass creates the illusion of one’s presence in virtual reality. The feeling of self-identification in the mirror gives you the physical sensation that your body has been re-created into a cyber avatar.
